- Our Curriculum
The Rosemount Curriculum – IGNITE
The Rosemount Curriculum – IGNITE is a thoughtfully designed early learning framework that blends global best practices with a strong foundation in experiential and inquiry-based learning. Rooted in Montessori principles, Swedish early learning concepts, and STEAM integration, the curriculum nurtures curiosity, creativity, and independent thinking from the earliest years.
Learning at Rosemount is designed to ignite curiosity before instruction.
Our learning approach focuses on helping children truly understand concepts through observation, exploration, and hands-on experiences. Children are encouraged to ask questions, make connections, and apply what they learn across different areas, building confidence in thinking and problem-solving from an early age.
Guided learning experiences help children connect ideas naturally and develop an active, self-directed approach to learning. Alongside academics, children are exposed to foreign languages, art, music, drama, and sports, ensuring balanced development across mind and body.
The IGNITE curriculum supports a child’s physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and linguistic development, preparing them to grow with confidence, curiosity, and adaptability in a rapidly changing world.
- Discover and Learn!
The Rosemount Pedagogical Framework
At Rosemount, our pedagogy is designed to ignite curiosity and nurture a lifelong love for learning. Guided by the Rosemount Curriculum – IGNITE, we follow a child-centred approach that encourages exploration, discovery, and meaningful engagement rather than passive instruction. Our classrooms are dynamic learning spaces where children are encouraged to ask questions, experiment, and learn through hands-on experiences. Teachers act as facilitators, gently guiding children to think independently, make connections, and understand concepts through real-world application.
We strongly emphasize experiential and inquiry-based learning, allowing children to move beyond textbooks and truly understand how and why things work. Concepts are introduced in an integrated manner, helping children see the cross-applicability of ideas across subjects and everyday life.
Equally important is the nurturing of relationships. Our pedagogy promotes positive interactions between teachers and children, as well as collaboration among peers. Through group activities and guided teamwork, children develop communication skills, confidence, empathy, and a cooperative mindset. At Rosemount, our innovative pedagogy supports the development of active learners who observe, explore, reflect, and grow—building strong foundations not only for academic success, but for life beyond the classroom
S- Social Development
Social development is fostered through meaningful relationships and shared experiences. At Rosemount, children engage in group activities, collaborative play, and guided peer interactions that help them develop communication skills, cooperation, empathy, and confidence. These experiences cultivate a strong sense of belonging and positive social behaviour.
P- Physical Development
Physical development is an essential component of early learning. Our curriculum incorporates structured play, movement, sports, and hands-on activities that strengthen both gross and fine motor skills. Through active participation, children develop coordination, balance, body awareness, and healthy habits that support overall well-being.
I- Integrity & Values
Developing integrity and strong values is fundamental to character formation. At Rosemount, children are guided to understand kindness, respect, responsibility, honesty, and empathy through daily interactions and positive role modelling. These experiences help children make thoughtful choices and build a strong moral foundation from an early age.
C- Cognitive Development
Cognitive development is nurtured through curiosity, exploration, and inquiry. Children are introduced to language, numeracy, science, and their environment through experiential learning. By observing, questioning, and problem-solving, they develop critical thinking skills, creativity, and a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Our Holistic Framework – SPICE
At Rosemount, we believe that early education is about nurturing the whole child, not solely academic achievement. Children thrive when they feel confident, supported, and valued. The SPICE framework forms the foundation of the Rosemount Curriculum – IGNITE and is thoughtfully designed to guide each child’s growth during their most formative years. SPICE represents five interconnected areas of development that work together to shape balanced, resilient, and capable learners.
E- Emotional Development
Emotional development supports a child’s confidence and well-being. Through age-appropriate activities, reflection, and guided expression, children learn to understand and manage their emotions. This focus on emotional awareness helps build resilience, self-regulation, and positive relationships in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our S.T.E.A.M. Learning Environment Nurturing Curiosity. Building Thinkers. Preparing Future Innovators.
At our preschool, S.T.E.A.M. is not a subject block or a weekly activity. It is how children explore, question, create, and make sense of the world around them. By introducing Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math at an early age, we help children develop curiosity, confidence, and problem-solving skills that grow with them.
